Two salesmen trash a company truck on an energy drink-fueled bender. Upon their arrest, the court gives them a choice: do hard time or spend 150 service hours with a mentorship program. After one day with the kids, however, jail doesn't look half bad.

Danny und Wheeler arbeiten als Promoter für Energydrinks, Danny bereits seit 10 Jahren, was ihm prompt eine Lebenskrise beschwert. Diese kostet ihn nicht nur seine Freundin Beth, sondern provoziert ihn auch dazu das Firmenauto in Wheelers Beisein zu schrotten. Die beiden werden vor die Wahl gestellt: 30 Tage Gefängnis oder 150 Sozialstunden bei Sturdy Wings. Diese Organisation teilt Erwachsene zur Betreuung von Kindern einteilt. Danny muss den Live-Rollenspieler Augie betreuen, Wheeler den vorlauten, frühreifen Ronnie. Allerdings stellt sich die Frage, ob Menschenhasser Danny und Chaot Wheeler überhaupt die besten Vorbilder sind...

Danny et Wheeler, deux VRPs pour le moins immatures, saccagent le camion de leur employeur au terme d'une énième journée passée à promouvoir une boisson énergisante auprès d'adolescents blasés. Le juge leur donne le choix : le trou ou 150 heures de travaux d'intérêts généraux dans une association à but pédagogique. Après leur première rencontre avec les gosses dont ils doivent s'occuper, un timide adolescent de 16 ans obsédé par les jeux de rôles moyenâgeux et un autre aux manières de chartier, la prison ne semble peut être pas une si terrible option ! Quand enfin Sweeny, la directrice de l'association, une ancienne droguée, leur donne un ultimatum, Danny et Wheeler sont obligés d'adapter leur « immaturité adulte » dans l'intérêt de leurs élèves. S'ils passent avec succès leur période de sursis, les pires éducateurs offriront la preuve que l'idiot du village peut parfois se révéler un bon pédagogue.

Wheeler e Danny sono due rappresentanti di una bevanda energetica chiamata Minotaur, svolgono il proprio lavoro in maniera svogliata cercando di vendere la bibita nelle scuole. Danny è stato appena lasciato dalla fidanzata, perché ritenuto privo di gioia di vivere, mentre Wheeler vive alla giornata senza la ben che minima intenzione di maturare. Dopo una sbronza, i due vengono coinvolti in una scazzottata con l'aggravante di oltraggio a pubblico ufficiale, per non finire in prigione accettano di prestare servizio presso un centro di ragazzi problematici e disagiati.Le 150 ore di servizio che li aspettano, saranno un percorso di grande cambiamento per Wheeler e Danny, soprattutto dall'incontro con Augie e Ronnie, un nerd con la passione del giochi di ruolo e ragazzino di colore con manie da bullo. I quattro impareranno a conoscersi, stringendo una profonda amicizia che li porterà verso la maturità.
