Izabella Scorupco was born to Lech and Magdalena Skorupko in Białystok, Poland, on 4 June 1970. When she was one year old, her parents separated, and she remained with her mother. In 1978, they moved to Bredäng in Stockholm, Sweden, where Scorupco learned to speak Swedish, English and French. In the late 1980s, Scorupco travelled throughout Europe working as a model, and appeared on the cover of Vogue. In 1987, she was discovered by director Staffan Hildebrand and starred in the film Ingen kan älska som vi ("Nobody can love like us"). In the early 1990s, she had a brief but successful career as a pop singer, releasing the album IZA, which was certified gold in Sweden in 1991. On December 25, 1996, Scorupco married Polish ice hockey player Mariusz Czerkawski, then with the Edmonton Oilers. They had one daughter together, Julia (born September 15, 1997). They separated in 1998. On January 30, 2003, Scorupco married an American, Jeffrey Raymond; they have a son, Jakob (born July 24, 2003), and now live in Los Angeles and New York City. In 2011, Scorupco reprised her singing career, duetting with Swedish musician Peter Jöback in his single Jag Har Dig Nu and featuring in the song's music video. She also starred in Jöback's short extension film La vie, L'amour, Le mort. Scorupco went on to host the spring 2012 series of Sweden's Next Top Model but did not continue it for a second series. Scorupco moved into the comedy world in July 2013 when she was named to a lead role in a new Swedish romantic comedy, Micke & Veronica, alongside David Hellenius. It premiered on December 25, 2014.

Izabella Scorupco, de son vrai nom Izabella Dorota Skorupko [ˈisɑbelːɑ dɔˈrɔta skɔˈrupkɔ], est une actrice et chanteuse polono-suédoise née le 4 juin 1970 à Białystok en Pologne. Élevée par sa mère jusqu'à ses huit ans dans sa ville natale de Białystok (Pologne), elles déménagent en 1978 en Suède, à Stockholm, où Izabella apprend le suédois et l'anglais en plus de sa langue maternelle, le polonais. Elle devient mannequin, elle prend aussi des cours de musique et de comédie où elle sera remarquée en 1987 par le réalisateur suédois Staffan Hildebrand, qui lui offre son premier rôle dans Ingen kan älska som vi (Only we can love like this dans son titre anglais). Elle devient alors connue dans son pays d'adoption et sa carrière se poursuit aussi bien dans la musique en obtenant un disque d'or, qu'à la télévision en 1991 ou encore au cinéma avec Petri tårar (St Peter's tears) en 1995. La même année, elle tourne aux côtés de Pierce Brosnan et de Famke Janssen dans GoldenEye de Martin Campbell, dans le rôle de la James Bond girl Natalya Simonova qui la propulse définitivement. Elle interprète ensuite Helena Kurcewiczówna dans Ogniem i Mieczem (Par le fer et par le feu) avant de tourner Petri tårar (Baltic sea), Vertical Limit en 2000 et Le Règne du feu en 2002. Elle continue avec le rôle de Sara dans L'Exorciste, au commencement de Renny Harlin et participe à la saison 4 de la série télé Alias en 2005. En 2007, elle obtient le rôle de Paige dans Cougar Club et tourne à nouveau dans un film suédois Solstorm (Sunstorm) de Leif Lindblom, puis dans un film sorti début 2010, Änglavakt (Among us) de Johann Brisinger. Elle s'est mariée en 1996 avec le joueur de hockey Mariusz Czerkawski avec lequel elle a eu une fille, Julia, née le 16 septembre 1997, avant de divorcer en 1998. Elle s'est remariée avec un Américain, Jeffrey Raymond, le 30 janvier 2003 et ils vivent maintenant en Californie à Pasadena avec leur fils, Jacob, né le 24 juillet 2003.
