Kathryn Love Newton (born February 8, 1997) is an American actress. She is known for her starring roles as Louise Brooks in the CBS comedy series Gary Unmarried (2008–2010), Abigail Carlson in the HBO mystery drama series Big Little Lies (2017–2019), and Allie Pressman in the Netflix teen drama series The Society (2019). She is also known for portraying the older versions of Claire Novak in The CW dark fantasy series Supernatural (2014–2018) and Joanie Clark in the AMC period drama series Halt and Catch Fire (2016–2017). Newton has starred in the comedy film Bad Teacher (2011), the supernatural horror film Paranormal Activity 4 (2012), for which she received the Young Artist Award for Best Leading Young Actress in a Feature Film, the crime drama film Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017), the sex comedy film Blockers (2018), the drama film Ben Is Back (2018), the film Pokémon Detective Pikachu (2019), the slasher comedy film Freaky (2020), the sci-fi rom-com The Map of Tiny Perfect Things (2021), the superhero film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023), and the horror movies Lisa Frankenstein (2024) & Abigail (2024).

Kathryn Newton (* 8. Februar 1997 in Los Angeles, Kalifornien) ist eine US-amerikanische Schauspielerin, die vor allem durch ihre Rolle der Louise Brooks aus der US-Fernsehserie Gary Unmarried bekannt ist. Ihren ersten Fernsehauftritt hatte sie schließlich im Jahre 2001 in der Seifenoper All My Children, wo sie die Rolle der jungen Colby Marian Chandler übernahm und diese Rolle bis einschließlich 2004 innehatte. Parallel zu ihrer Zeit bei All My Children wurde Newton im Jahre 2002 im mehrfach ausgezeichneten Kurzfilm Abbie Down East in einer der Hauptrollen eingesetzt und übernahm auch im 2003 veröffentlichten und ebenfalls ausgezeichneten Kurzfilm Bun-Bun eine weitere wesentliche Rolle. Nach einigen Jahren ohne nennenswerte Engagements im Film- und Fernsehbereich übernahm sie im Jahre 2008 die Rolle der Louise Brooks in der CBS-Fernsehserie Gary Unmarried. 2011 hatte sie einen Auftritt im Film Bad Teacher. Bis zum Auslaufen der Serie im Jahre 2010 wurde sie in allen produzierten Episoden, bis auf die bereits genannte Pilotfolge, eingesetzt und wurde für ihre Rolle mehrfach ausgezeichnet bzw. nominiert. Im Jahre 2011 ist sie auch in einer Nebenrolle im Film Bad Teacher zu sehen. 2012 spielte Newton die Hauptrolle im vierten Teil der Paranormal-Activity-Reihe, wofür sie bei den Young Artist Awards 2013 neben Quvenzhané Wallis den Preis als Beste Hauptdarstellerin in einem Spielfilm gewinnen konnte.
