Atze Schröder is a fictional character in German comedy. The character of Atze Schröder emerged in the mid-1990s on Germany's cabaret and comedy stages, quickly gaining recognition for his signature "Ruhrpott" humor and distinctive appearance. The character first garnered significant attention through appearances on the *Quatsch Comedy Club* and, later—most notably—through the RTL television series *Alles Atze*, which aired from 1999 to 2006. Atze Schröder also appeared on the big screen as the court jester in the feature film *7 Zwerge – Männer allein im Wald*. In addition to his stage shows and tours, the character has frequently hosted the German Comedy Awards ceremony, as well as various television comedy formats—including *Der Comedy Olymp*, the *Comedy Adventskalender* on RTL, and, since 2019, *NightWash*. In 2011, the performer behind the character was awarded the German Comedy Prize for his solo show *Revolution*. Furthermore, in 2021, Atze Schröder appeared in the music video for the song "Der wichtigste Finger einer Faust" by the band Jupiter Jones.

Atze Schröder ist eine deutsche Comedy-Kunstfigur. Atze Schröder entstand Mitte der 1990er-Jahre auf deutschen Kleinkunstbühnen und wurde durch ihren Ruhrpott-Humor sowie die markante äußere Erscheinung schnell bekannt. Erste größere Aufmerksamkeit erhielt die Figur durch Auftritte im Quatsch Comedy Club und später vor allem durch die RTL-Serie Alles Atze, die von 1999 bis 2006 ausgestrahlt wurde. Auch im Kinofilm 7 Zwerge – Männer allein im Wald war Atze Schröder als Hofnarr zu sehen. Neben Bühnenprogrammen und Tourneen moderierte die Figur mehrfach die Verleihung des Deutschen Comedypreises sowie verschiedene Comedy-Formate im Fernsehen, darunter Der Comedy Olymp, den Comedy Adventskalender auf RTL und seit 2019 NightWash. Für das Soloprogramm Revolution wurde der Darsteller 2011 mit dem Deutschen Comedypreis ausgezeichnet. Darüber hinaus trat Atze Schröder 2021 im Musikvideo Der wichtigste Finger einer Faust der Band Jupiter Jones auf.
