Born in Santurce, Puerto Rico, Mónica Monserrate Llenza began her career in the early stages of her life. In summer 1993, she was attending the Fine Arts School of the University of Puerto Rico when she was awarded a scholarship to study cinematography at the prestigious Escuela Internacional de Cine y TV (EICTV) in San Antonio de los Baños, Havana, CUBA. There she lived, studied, and worked for three years. Mónica moved back to her homeland, Puerto Rico, in 1996 and started to work in film, ad, and TV, and continues to do so successfully to this date. Her strong love for film cinematography, fine arts, design, architecture, and set decoration has given her the opportunity to share projects with a wide variety of production designers in Puerto Rico as well as abroad in Mexico, Spain, the US, Asia, and the South Pacific. "To create an environment that inspires and becomes a storyteller on its own, that is my passion."
