Continuing to fight for the resources necessary to contain the contamination, and realising the scale of the task ahead, Tracy needs to move out of her family home and into her office, to the dismay of her husband and son.

Die Stadt Salisbury wird nach dem Nervenangriff unter der Leitung des Militärs dekontaminiert. Während Gebäude geräumt und Fahrzeuge entsorgt werden, setzt Gesundheitsdirektorin Tracy Daszkiewicz (Anne-Marie Duff) alles daran, den Ursprungsort des Giftes zu finden, um die Verbreitung des Nervengifts einzudämmen. Es kommt zu einem Durchbruch, als eine mögliche Quelle identifiziert werden kann. Der Polizeibeamte Nick Bailey (Rafe Spall) ist bei der Hausdurchsuchung der Skripals mit Nowitschok in Berührung gekommen und wird im Krankenhaus behandelt. Zusammen mit den Skripals verschlechtert sich sein Zustand zunehmend. Nicks Frau Sarah (Annabel Scholey) ist ausser sich vor Sorge, versucht aber für die Töchter Annie (Kiera Thompson) und Ellie (Stephanie Gil) ruhig zu bleiben.
