When a web celebrity is murdered, Castle and Beckett explore the flashy world of internet fame. But when the killer posts pictures from the crime scene on a photo-sharing site, they realize they are up against a social media sociopath who may strike again.

Une starlette du Web est retrouvée assassinée chez elle. Très vite, l’enquête prend un détour public lorsqu’il s’avère que le meurtrier poste les photos de ses crimes ainsi que des indices pour la police sur Internet.

La squadra indaga sull'omicidio di web celebrity Abby Smith. L'assassino poi posta le foto della sua morte, online e informa la polizia con degli indizi anche per gli omicidi futuri. Castle crede che l'assassino potrebbe essere stato a sua volta una vittima di cyberbullismo. Il video di sorveglianza li porta ad Adam Lane, che ha assunto i co-fondatori di un servizio di condivisione foto in una località segreta. Lane, ha allestito un concorso online per i due, chi ottiene la minor quantità di voti entro 60 minuti muore. Usando delle tattiche psicologiche su Lane, Beckett riesce a convincerlo a rivelare la posizione, il liceo dove ci fu la prima vittima di bullismo. Ryan ed Esposito riescono a raggiungere i prigionieri in tempo.
