La vendetta au sein d'une famille de réfugiés kosovars fait une autre victime, obligeant Brenda et son équipe, ainsi que le capitaine Raydor, à poursuivre leur enquête le jour de Noël. Les témoignages contradictoires, et parfois incohérents, des survivants compliquent le travail des policiers. De plus, l'attention du chef-adjoint est détournée lorsque le camping-car de ses parents, qui venaient d'arriver à Los Angeles, est cambriolé, et tous les cadeaux de Noël dérobés à bord. Au commissariat, la vie continue et le commandant Taylor est chargé de distribuer les cadeaux, déguisé en Père Noël...
