When the investigation of a dead millionaire leads the CSIs to an elite dating service, Ryan poses as a wealthy businessman to expose the matchmaker's lies.

Accompagné de Ryan, Horatio se rend au domicile d'un jeune homme fortuné dont le cadavre est en piteux état. En effet, le défunt a été retrouvé déchiqueté dans la piscine. D'après le médecin légiste, tout porte à croire qu'il a été partiellement dévoré. Rapidement, Horatio et Ryan découvrent l'alligator responsable de cette mort atroce et sont contraints de l'abattre. Pour Horatio, l'affaire n'est pas résolue pour autant : comment ce reptile est-il arrivé là ? Horatio trouve des morceaux de viande sanguinolents dispersés çà et là dans les environs de la maison pour attirer l'alligator vers la piscine. Autre détail troublant : le défunt était au téléphone au moment de son décès...
