Les nerfs de Sorenson sont mis à rude épreuve quand ce dernier apprend le décès de Nicholas, un SDF qu'il était supposé protéger. Enfin, SDF, pas vraiment puisque selon sa famille, il s'agissait d'un homme plein aux as ! De son côté, Russel enquête sur un cas de meurtre /suicide. Il apparaît que l'une des victimes, Yvonne, connaissait très bien le Harry Denby. Ce dernier finit par avouer avoir eu une relation avec Yvonne mais il a rompu quand il a appris qu'elle était mariée...
