When the scientist who helped Carrie understand her memory abilities is murdered, she must track down other people with the same skill in the hopes that one of them holds the key to finding the killer.

Carrie Wells und ihr Kollege Al Burns untersuchen den Tod eines Mannes, der von seinem Balkon zu Tode gestürzt ist. Als die beiden am Tatort ankommen, entdeckt Carrie, dass sie den Mann kennt. Es handelt sich um Professor Eugen Lustig, der eine wissenschaftliche Studie mit ihr durchgeführt hat. Schon bald ist Carrie überzeugt, dass Dr. Lustig keinen Selbstmord begangen hat.

Eugene Lustig, un neurologue très réputé fait une chute mortelle du haut d'un immeuble. Dix ans plus tôt, Carrie l'avait rencontré et avait participé à un groupe de recherches avec cinq autres personnes présentant les mêmes singularités qu'elle.
