Meemaw liebt kitschige Groschenromane und verschlingt einen nach dem anderen. Mary findet das höchst amüsant; sie springt aber schließlich über ihren Schatten und liest auch eines der Büchlein. Daraufhin glaubt sie, dass sie das Talent besitzt, einen viel aufregenderen Roman zu schreiben. Schon bald gibt sie sich ihrer Fantasie völlig hin. Derweil zieht Mandy zu Georgie in die Garage, weil sie in Mietrückstand ist, und Sheldon schreibt eine Hausarbeit zum Thema Ethik.

Sheldon doit choisir son camp face à un dilemme éthique. De plus, Mary s'essaye à l'écriture et Mandy a besoin d'un nouvel endroit où vivre.

Il professor Sturgis dà alla classe un compito sull'etica, mandando in crisi Sheldon che non sopporta questioni non prettamente scientifiche, dopo aver chiesto inutilmente aiuto al padre e alla sorella, arriva alla conclusione che il tema è chi decide cosa sia etico o meno e propone di creare una Sheldocrazia così che possa decidere lui. Nel frattempo Mandy si ritrova senza casa e riceve ospitalità da Georgie, che però capisce che il garage non sia il posto migliore, così la ragazza si trasferisce nella stanza degli ospiti di Connie. Intanto Mary, dopo aver letto un libro erotico della madre, ne inizia a scrivere uno lei stessa.
