From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Bernard Terry "Bernie" Casey (June 8, 1939 – September 19, 2017) was a renowned professional actor who initially had a stellar career as an interscholastic, intercollegiate and professional football player. Casey was also a record-breaking track and field athlete for Bowling Green State University. As one of the nation's best high-hurdlers; Casey earned All-America recognition and a trip to the finals at the 1960 United States Olympic Trials. In addition to national honors, Bernie Casey won three consecutive Mid-American Conference titles in the high-hurdles, 1958-60. Bernard Terry „Bernie“ Casey war ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler und zuvor American-Football-Spieler. Casey begann seine Schauspielkarriere in Die Rache der glorreichen Sieben, der zweiten Fortsetzung von Die glorreichen Sieben. Anschließend spielte er in einer Reihe von Blaxploitation-Filmen, unter anderem in Ein Fall für Cleopatra Jones. 1983 spielte er den FBI-Agenten Felix Leiter, dessen Hautfarbe in Ian Flemings Romanen nie frestgelegt wurde, im inoffiziellen James-Bond-Film Sag niemals nie. In der Komödie Ghettobusters von Keenen Ivory Wayans karikierte er sich selbst als ehemaligen Footballprofi, der zum Schauspieler wurde. Daneben trat er in verschiedenen Fernsehserien als Gaststar auf wie in den Mini-Serien Roots – Die nächsten Generationen und Die Mars-Chroniken, sowie in einer Doppelfolge von Star Trek - Deep Space Nine. Casey war auch als Maler und Dichter tätig.
