Born in Luxembourg in 1981, Carlo Vogele grew up on Walkman, Donkey Kong and German literature. After short-lived forays into Catholic altar boy-hood and literary dilettantism, he moved to Berlin to study Theatre Arts at the Freie Universität. Inspired to reinvent himself in Paris, the city sparks in him a love for film, food, art history and... animation! In 2008, he graduated from Gobelins Animation School with the graduation short film "For Sock's Sake" that he produced while on student exchange at CalArts. Before returning to France the film was screened at a student career fair and led to a position as a Character Animator at Pixar for 7 years. Since 2015, he is leading the development of the animated feature "Icarus" with the Luxembourg-based film studio, The Iris Group.

Il est un Réalisateur, Animateur et producteur luxembourgeois. Il a rejoint Pixar en 2008 et a travaillé sur "Toy Story 3", "Brave" et "Monsters University". Vogele a étudié le théâtre et la marionnette à Berlin avant de se concentrer sur l'animation à l'école des Gobelins à Paris. Pendant un semestre aux Calarts, il produit la comédie dramatique vestimentaire "For Sock's Sake" qui remporte le prix du meilleur film de fin d'études à Annecy en 2009. Sa prochaine pièce en stop motion, l'opéra de poissons "Una Furtiva Lagrima", lui vaut une autre victoire à Annecy et une tournée à Hiroshima , Ottawa, Telluride, Berlinale et plus encore. Sa comédie torride WURST de 2014 met de la viande et de la volaille à griller sur une plage bondée, alors que nous suivons une saucisse blanche dans sa recherche désespérée de sophistication.
