Rachel Robinson (born July 14, 1975) is an American actress, singer/songwriter, and producer. She is best known to many science fiction fans for her role as Melanie in the “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine” episode “The Visitor” and is the daughter of actor Andrew Robinson, who portrayed Garak in the same series. Rachel was a leading candidate for the role of Ezri Dax in DS9’s seventh season, though the part ultimately went to Nicole de Boer. Beyond her Star Trek appearance, Rachel Robinson has appeared in various television series, including roles on “ER,” “Judging Amy,” “He’s Such a Girl,” and “Loser Love.” She has also worked as a stage and film actress, screenwriter, and producer. In addition to her acting career, Robinson is also an accomplished singer-songwriter with several released albums, including a self-titled debut (2003), “Platonica Falls” (2007), “My Pleasure” (2009), and “c’est la swimming” (2015).
