Pinar Toprak is a Turkish-American composer for film, television and video games. She has won two International Film Music Critics Association Awards for The Lightkeepers (2009) and The Wind Gods (2013). Toprak was born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey, where she began her classical musical education at the age of five. After studying composition and multiple instruments at the conservatory, she moved to Chicago to study jazz, then Boston. She joined the music production company Media Ventures International (now known as Remote Control), home of film composer Hans Zimmer. Toprak most recently scored Captain Marvel (2019), the Superman prequel series Krypton and the Pixar animated short, Purl.

Pinar Tropak est compositrice de musique de film Turko-Américaine. Elle a gagné deux International Film Music Critics Association Awards, un premier en 2010 pour le film "The Lightkeepers" et un deuxième en 2011 pour le documentaire "The Wind Gods". Son prix pour la musique du film "The Lightkeepers" fait elle la première femme à recevoir un IFMCA Award. Pinar est née à Istanbul et a étudié le violon, le chant, la guitare classique et la composition au conservatoire D'Istanbul. En 1997, Pinar s'envole pour Chicago et étudie le piano et le jazz avec d'immense pianistes de jazz. Plus tard elle étudie à l'école de musique Berklee et valide une licence en composition de musique de film. Après être partie pour Los Angeles, elle a travaillé pour Media Ventures (devenu Remote Control Production) sous la direction du compositeur Hans Zimmer.
