Lily and Marshall have their first Thanksgiving as a married couple; Barney is tortured by the slap bet countdown clock, worrying about when the slap will be dished out.

Lily plant zum ersten Mal für die Clique eine Thanksgivingfeier zu veranstalten. Robin und Ted wollen dafür einen Kuchen backen, und die Spannung zwischen den beiden wird immer schlimmer, bis sie letztlich doch im Bett landen. Am Abend der Feier ist die Stimmung nun auf dem Tiefpunkt: Barney hat Angst vor Marshalls Ohrfeige und Robin und Ted sitzen wie auf Kohlen, bis Lily versucht, der Lage Herr zu werden.
