Brass, Catherine, Grissom and Nick work the case of a female victim found in an apartment building with a gun shot wound. Drops becomes a person of interest during the investigation, even though he is still in jail.

Deux femmes ont été retrouvées mortes dans deux appartements situés l'un au-dessus de l’autre. Brass, Catherine, Grissom et Nick sont chargés des investigations. Leur enquête les mène bientôt jusqu'à une vieille connaissance : Drops, un directeur artistique de boîtes de nuit, actuellement derrière les barreaux. Ils se rendent bientôt compte qu'ils n'avanceront pas tant qu'ils ne l'auront pas fait sortir de prison pour qu'il les aide. Car apparemment, lui seul peut leur permettre de mettre la main sur l'homme qui aurait tué ces deux femmes...
