A car belonging to a Department of Homeland Security employee is found wrecked at the bottom of Mulholland Drive. Priority Homicide is brought in to uncover the details surrounding the driver’s death, but the investigation leads Brenda a lot closer to home then she expected.

Brenda arrive sur les lieux d'un accident spectaculaire : le corps d'une femme est retrouvé près d'une voiture au fond d'un ravin. Son ordinateur et téléphone portable ont disparus. Maggie Scott était contrôleuse financière pour le département de Sécurité intérieure, et menait un audit important à l'interne comme à l'externe du département.
