When Eddie takes his car into the shop, he decides it's time for a new set of wheels and purchases a red convertible sports car. Joy recognizes that Eddie's passion for his new car is part of his mid-life crisis, so in a play for his attention she flirts with her co-worker. Meanwhile, Kenny buys Eddie's old clunker and tricks it.

Eddie wartet in einem Autohaus mit Kenny auf die Reparatur seines Wagena, als ihn eine junge Verkäuferin anspricht und dazu bringt, sich ein rotes Cabrio zu kaufen, ohne Joy zuvor zu fragen. Als er nach Hause kommt, zerbricht sich Joy gerade den Kopf, wie sie ihm beibringen soll, dass sie einen neuen Trockner braucht. Joy fällt daher aus allen Wolken, als er ihr das neue Auto präsentiert und hält die Anschaffung für einen Ausdruck seiner Midlife-Krise.
