CSI: NY is an American police procedural television series that ran on CBS from September 22, 2004 to February 22, 2013 for a total of nine seasons and 197 original episodes. The show follows the investigations of a team of NYPD forensic scientists and police officers identified as "Crime Scene Investigators".

Das New Yorker Team der Forensiker und Spurensucher der CSI (Criminal Scene Investigation) macht sich in der Ostküsten-Metropole daran, ungelöste und ungewöhnliche Mordfälle zu lösen. Dabei achten sie auch auf kleinste Details, denn jede noch so unwichtig erscheinende Spur könnte den wahren Täter entlarven. Das CSI-Team wird geleitet von dem ehemaligen Marine-Corps-Offizier Detective Mac Taylor, dessen Frau bei den Anschlägen von 9–11 getötet wurde. An seiner Seite arbeitet Detective Stella Bonasera, die jedoch ab Staffel 7 von seiner Detective Jo Danville abgelöst wird. Weitere Mitglieder sind Detective Danny Messer, Detective Lindsay Messer and Dr. Sheldon Hawkes. Unterstützt werden die Ermittlungen von Gutachter Dr. Sid Hammerback, der harte New Yorker Detective Don Flack der Labortechniker Adam Ross sowie die schöne Aiden Burn, die im Bereich der Gesichtskonstruktionen sehr versiert ist.

The season introduced a new regular character, Jo Danville, after regular Stella Bonasera moved to New Orleans to head up their crime lab. Season 9The ninth and final season of CSI: NY originally aired on CBS between September 2012 and February 2013. It is the shortest season of CSI: NY, consisting of only 17 episodes. Its regular time slot on Fridays moved to 8pm/7c for the first two episodes, then back to 9pm/8c beginning with the third episode.[1] On May 10, 2013, CBS canceled the show, making it the second series in the CSI franchise to end.[2] Episode 15, "Seth and Apep", was the second part of a two-part crossover with CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. CSI: NY The Ninth Season was released on DVD in the U.S. on June 25, 2013.17
