When Danny and Kate come up empty-handed with leads for a shooting, Linda helps make a break in the case when she overhears the victim telling his priest who is responsible. Meanwhile, Henry is mugged at an ATM, which sends Jamie into a rage as he tries to track down the assailant.

Danny et Kate enquêtent sur la mort par balle de Michael Reade, un ancien repris de justice qui comptait bon nombre d'ennemis dans son entourage comme ailleurs. Avant de rendre son dernier souffle à l'hôpital, l'individu a demandé à voir un prêtre. Après avoir interrogé sans succès l'ancienne épouse de Reade et à court de pistes plausibles, Danny s'adresse à l'homme d'Eglise pour savoir quelles ont été les dernières paroles du défunt. Mais le curé refuse de lui répondre. Pendant ce temps, Henry est victime d'une agression devant un distributeur automatique de billets. Toute la famille, et particulièrement Jamie, est préoccupée par cette attaque...
