L'équipe du NCIS tente de faire la lumière sur la mort d'un officier de la marine survenu au cours d'un accident de voiture. Les premiers indices indiquent qu'il s'agirait d'un meurtre. Loreta remarque que le défunt conduisait pieds nus. L'enquête se complique lorsque Pride et Lasalle découvrent que l'assistante de l'officier a elle aussi été tuée au domicile de celui-ci.
