Paula Anderson surprend une conversation entre son père et Sarnoff, un agent du KGB. Il s'agit du rachat pour 100 de documents secrets sur les objectifs stratégiques de la guerre des Bolles... Prise de panique, Paula s'empare de la mallette contenant ces documents et la porte chez Bernie. Puis elle se réfugie chez Georges, un ami de Bernie. Sur l'ordre du général Stockwell, l'agence tous risques entreprend de retrouver Paula et la mallette.
