La police découvre un corps au fond d'un trou. Les agents examinent la cavité et mettent à jour un tunnel qui les conduit vers le sous-sol d'une banque. Des braqueurs ont déjà emprunté le conduit et délesté les lieux de l'argent contenu dans un coffre-fort. La victime, Lori Stoltz, un employé de l'établissement financier, a été tué d'une balle de pistolet avant d'être caché au fond de l'excavation. Calleigh et Natalia tentent de découvrir d'où les gangsters ont commencé à creuser. Ils aboutissent à un chantier de travaux publics.
