After a routine call leads two of the team into finding a bomb, they evacuate but a few are still in the building along with Mac and Flack when the bomb detonates. After the explosion the CSI's face a race against time to find the bomber and the possibility of losing one of their own. Mac must come to grips with having let a Marine die in Beirut in 1983.

Nachdem ein Routineanruf dazu führt, dass zwei Mitglieder des Teams eine Bombe finden, werden sie evakuiert, aber einige sind noch im Gebäude, zusammen mit Mac und Flack, als die Bombe explodiert. Nach der Explosion beginnt für die CSI ein Wettlauf mit der Zeit, um den Bombenleger zu finden, und die Möglichkeit, einen der eigenen Leute zu verlieren. Max muss sich damit abfinden, dass er 1983 in Beirut einen Marine hat sterben lassen.

Mac et Flack sont sur une scène de crime dans un immeuble de bureaux quand une bombe explose. Mac s'en sort avec quelques égratignures mais Flack est grièvement blessé.
