The Enterprise crew find a small craft drifting in space and are surprised to find it contains a human corpse. More questions arise when the Suliban and Tholians make claims to the craft.

Die Crew der Enterprise entdecken ein kleines im All treibendes Schiff, in dem sich eine menschliche Leiche befindet. Trip Tucker und Malcolm Reed finden heraus, dass das Schiff ein paar seltsame Geheimnisse birgt. Alles wird jedoch noch mysteriöser, als die Suliban auftauchen und Anspruch auf das Bergungsgut erheben und Captain Archer auch mit den Tholianern konfrontiert wird, die ebenso agressiv versuchen, das geheimnisvolle Schiff zu bekommen.
