Edna, eine Fingerabdruckanalysesoftware, die Kasie seit ihrer College-Zeit entwickelt hat, ist gestohlen worden. Scheinbar hat der Unbekannte, der auch schon Tommy erpresst hat den Mainframe zu manipulieren einen weiteren Mann getötet und diese Tat Kasie angehängt. Während die Polizei nach ihr sucht, fahren Kasie und Sam nach Upstate New York um bei ihrer Ex Joanna das Notizbuch mit allen Aufzeichnungen über Edna zu suchen, ohne zu ahnen, in welches Gefühlschaos sie damit geraten.
