As Larry prepares to embark on his adventure, the team must investigate a string of murders. The case takes an interesting turn when it is discovered that the murders mimic scenes from a movie that hasn't even been released yet.

In einer mit Trockenmittel gefüllten Kiste wird eine vertrocknete Leiche entdeckt. Genau dieses Szenarium wird mit dem Film ‚Bixel Street‘, der demnächst im Kino anlaufen soll, auf die Leinwand gebracht. Das FBI beginnt, in der Filmbranche zu ermitteln. Bei dem Opfer handelt es sich um Brett Fuller, einem B-Movie-Produzenten, der ursprünglich als Produzent für ‚Bixel Street‘ vorgesehen war. Schon bald werden weitere Morde verübt, die ebenfalls in dem Streifen zu finden sind.
