Da Julius Cäsar bereits mehrfach am kleinen Dorf der Gallier scheiterte, hat er nun Großbritannien als neues Ziel seiner Eroberungen auserkoren. Er ahnt jedoch nichts davon, dass die britische Königin bereits einen ihrer Berater nach Gallien ausgesandt hat, um Hilfe zu holen. Asterix und Obelix machen sich mit dem Hund Idefix sowie einer Menge Zaubertrank auch sogleich auf den Weg, um dem befreundeten Königreich zu helfen.

50 avant Jésus Christ. César a soif de conquêtes. À la tête de ses glorieuses légions il décide d'envahir cette île située aux limites du monde connu, ce pays mystérieux appelé Britania, la Bretagne. La victoire est rapide et totale. Enfin… presque. Un petit village breton parvient à lui résister, mais ses forces faiblissent. Cordelia, la reine des Bretons, décide donc d’envoyer son plus fidèle officier, Jolitorax, chercher de l’aide en Gaule, auprès d’un autre petit village, connu pour son opiniâtre résistance aux Romains… Dans le village gaulois en question, Astérix et Obélix sont déjà bien occupés. Le chef leur a en effet confié son neveu Goudurix, une jeune tête à claques fraîchement débarquée de Lutèce, dont ils sont censés faire un homme. Et c'est loin d'être gagné…

Soccorsa e consigliata dal fedele Beltorax, la Regina invia il suo primo ufficiale in Gallia a chiedere consiglio e barili di magica pozione per abbattere le schiere romane. Ricevuto da Asterix e Obelix, alle prese con un nipote svagato e smidollato da formare, e risvegliata l'antica ostilità, Beltorax non fatica a convincerli ad accompagnarlo come scorta e come 'arma' da lanciare contro l'odiato romano. Tra normanni senza paura che sognano di volare e romani ubriachi di vino che bramano la pozione, i nostri avranno la meglio a suon di pugni ed effetti placebo. La ricompensa sarà la gloria, il bottino una buona tazza di tè inglese.

In order to help and protect the old Druid, Asterix and Obelix accompany him on his journey to Egypt. When Julius Caesar gets wind of the project succeeding, he has the building site attacked by his troops in order to win the bet and not lose face. But just like the local pirates, he hasn't counted on Asterix and Obelix.
